Phil Archer and Blaise Trettis endorse Scott Sturgill for Congress

Sanford businessman Scott Sturgill has received the endorsement of Phil Archer, Florida State Attorney, and Blaise Trettis, the 18th Judicial Circuit Public Defender of Brevard and Seminole counties, for his campaign for Congressional District 7.

“His leadership skills and business experience are exactly the attributes needed to promote economic growth, fiscal responsibility and job creation,” Phil Archer said of Sturgill, who is a fourth generation Seminole County resident. “A strong and healthy economy is an important factor in reducing crime,” Archer continued.

“Scott Sturgill’s experience as a successful business owner is the experience that is needed to represent Central Florida in Congress.” Blaise Trettis said.

Scott Sturgill had previously been endorsed by Seminole County Sheriff, Dennis Lemma, last year: "Scott has consistently stood with law enforcement and first responders, he exemplifies the type of leadership we need in Washington for Central Florida."

Sturgill has continued to develop support from the law enforcement community. With these endorsements, Sturgill has shown he understands the problems our law enforcement is facing and seeks to make a difference.

Congressional District 7 is a Central Florida based district that fully encompasses Seminole County and a small portion of northern Orange County. First-term Democrat Congresswoman Stephanie Murphy unseated Republican Congressman John Mica, who served 23 years, in the 2016 General Election.

Scott Sturgill is a Sanford businessman and CEO of Durable Safety Products located in Seminole County. Sturgill is a fourth generation Seminole County native and serves on numerous charitable boards. Scott and his wife, Tracy, have been married 14 years and have two children.
